For shoppers looking for an ultra-cheap secondary work phone, an emergency device for travel, or a basic phone for kids, this $60 clearance price makes the huawei honor 8x tempting on paper.
⚡ Key Features & Hardware Reality: Can It Still Perform?
The Kirin 710 inside the honor mobile handles WhatsApp chats, Chrome tabs, and YouTube without major freezing. But let’s be honest: heavy 3D games will stutter. The software also tops out around Android 10, so while common banking and social apps run fine today, you won’t get newer Android features.
🔋 Real-World Battery & Hands-On Comparison
In budget smartphones, battery life and what comes in the box determine whether you love or hate the device. Here is what real testing reveals:
The honor 8x carries an internal 3750mAh cell. For normal daily use, it gets you to bedtime with about 15-20% left. By contrast, testing a modern 5000mAh battery device like the Ravoz A7 proves that proper power optimization easily delivers over 3 days of battery life on light to moderate use.
Big flagship brands now force you to buy chargers separately. Opening my Ravoz A7 package was refreshing because it bundled a genuine 18W fast charging adapter, Type-C cable, and case right inside the box. The Honor 8X listing also includes a charger, but remember it relies on the older Micro-USB standard.
To help you decide between buying an older $60 AliExpress clearance phone or stepping up to a modern device, here is the complete hardware breakdown:

The honor 8x is great if you strictly want to spend around $60 for a reliable backup phone for basic calls, WhatsApp, and YouTube with a sharp screen. But if you need a multi-day 3-day battery, modern Type-C fast charging, and NFC payments, investing in a 5000mAh phone like the Ravoz A7 makes far more sense.
At sixty dollars, the Honor 8X gives you a lot of display for very little cash. While its Micro-USB port and Android 10 software show its age, having working Google Play services and a 1080p screen under $75 makes it a viable emergency backup handset.
